IMG_6298.jpg D.L. Geary’s Brewing Company out of Portland has picked a winner for its yearly competition to design their summer ale label and packaging. This year’s winner is R.J. Condon, a Cape Cod native attending MECA.Condon will be graduating from MECA in 2017 and plans to stay in Portland.

“I moved to Portland because I want to be part of this city and continue to design,” said Condon. “MECA has amazing courses and professors and I plan to take full advantage of that.”

Condon’s winning design showcases the lobster. It will be featured on six-pack and 12-pack containers of Geary’s summer ale, and on the label as well. Condon’s prize includes $5,000 — and having his artwork appear on over 1 million bottles of beer.
