The University of Maine Museum of Art announced that it will host Art Explorations discussions at 3:45-4:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 20-March 5, at the museum. The workshop is geared for children in third and sixth grades.

Museum Educator Eva Wagner and workshop leader will encourage creativity and self-expression through fun, engaging art projects. Children will explore the museum galleries for inspiration and create their own art work in the studio. They will investigate a variety of methods and materials.

The cost is $55 museum members, $65 others. A $10 sibling discount also is offered.
