The Kennebec Valley Art Association invites artist submissions to Art2014, the 19th annual juried show at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell. Art2019 is open to all Maine artists and also to artists with a strong connection to Maine. We are excited to announce that this years juror is Andres A. Verzosa, owner of Aucocisco Galleries in Portland Maine. Over $1,500 in cash prizes and gift certificates from area business sponsors will be awarded at an awards ceremony at the exhibition’s opening on Friday, May 9 at 6pm. Art2014 the exhibition will be on view May 9 to 31.

These short videos by Art Mayers were filmed in 2013, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Harlow Gallery in 1963. Former board member and volunteer treasurer Scott Cowger talks about putting the Harlow’s financial house in order in the 1990s and how the presence of the Harlow Gallery has enriched the cultural life of Hallowell.
