Gently it fell,

Spinning swirling,

Slowly from the sky,

Twirling,

Passing by.

Kitty crouched in the snow,

Ready to strike,

Kitty bounced,

And pounced.

The soft snow went flying,

Kitty was covered to her nose,

“Where did it go?”

She wondered washing her toes.

Gently it fell,

Spinning swirling,

Slowly from the sky,

Twirling,

Passing by.

This time she was ready,

This time she was steady,

She bounced,

And pounced.

All covered in snow,

She didn’t know,

What to know.

Gently it fell,

Spinning swirling,

Slowly from the sky,

Twirling,

Passing by.

She took aim again,

“It’s just timing when,

The right moment will come.”

She pounced again and was undone.

She calmly sat down,

Snow falling all around,

She looked up to a hazy sun,

Watching snow fall was oodles of fun.

They poured on her like a waterfall,

Hundreds of peaceful snowflakes fell,

Gently,

Spinning swirling,

Slowly from the sky,

Twirling,

Passing by.

Then one landed,

As if nature planned it,

On her nose.

Kitty’s eyes crossed,

Her tail tossed,

In anticipation,

Of the proclamation,

Of discovery,

Or the uncovery,

Of a snowflake.

It was so delicate,

Though it was cold and wet,

Then it vanished,

In front of her eyes,

Melted in a water’s pool,

On her nose,

She felt like a fool.

She decided just to sit,

And wait,

Then she saw it.

Gently it fell,

Spinning swirling,

Slowly from the sky,

Twirling,

This time it would not pass her by,

This time she was ready,

This time she was steady.
