Screen Shot 2014-12-26 at 3.43.41 PM The Harlow Gallery’s Education Committee holds a monthly series of community events held within the Gallery at 160 Water Street in Hallowell every second Sunday.

On Sunday, January 11, from 2-4pm, ­ there will be a workshop in bookmaking.The one piece of paper makes a book: ­Take one piece of paper, fold and cut it and you have a multi page book to use for drawings, doodles, collages, or stories.

Activities on the second Sunday of every month at the Harlow will bring artists and art lovers together to enjoy the process of making art as well as looking at art and discussing it. These sessions are free and open to the public. Materials are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own as well.

Donations to support the gallery always welcome – the Harlow Gallery is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and your gift is fully tax deductible in accordance with current tax law.

Sunday, March 8, 2-4pm, ­ Artist Trading Cards: ­ Very small art works to make and trade. Little treasures created from all kinds of media.

Sunday, April 12, 2-4pm, Astrological Chart Mandalas: ­ explore and create a mandala from your astrology chart. Chart included ­ Mixed media.

Sunday, May 10, 2-4pm, ­Art Critique: ­ Bring one or two pieces that you are working on or have completed to a group critique. A great way to meet other artists and get some input on your work.
