OBJECTIVE: To design a flag to serve as a visual representation of the animal rights movement.
ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to residents of the United States who have reached the age of majority in
their state at the time of entry.
CONTEST DATE: The Contest starts on October 15,2014 and ends 11:59 p.m. EST February 15, 2015.
HOW TO SUBMIT: The design may be created in any medium and should be in color. Flag designs should
be 8.5” x 11” (letter size). Entries may be submitted in the form of a jpg, gif, png or pdf file format by email to mac@maineanimalcoalition.org or sent by mail to Maine Animal Coalition, P.O. Box 6683, Portland,
Maine 04101.
Three entries are allowed per person.
A brief explanation of the symbolism contained in the design is permitted. Entrants must submit their full
contact information (full name, mailing address, phone number, email address).
SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
All SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ORIGINAL. All submissions must be entrant’s own original design and
creation, executed solely by the entrant, and may not have been entered in any other contest or won any other award; may not have been published previously; and may not be subject to any rights of any other parties.
JUDGING: The Board of the Maine Animal Coalition shall select the winning designs. The criteria that
will be used to select the winning entries are best visual representations of the animal rights movement,
practicality as a flag design, and overall appeal.
